Although Closed, Balangan Beach Is Still Visited by Travelers
Bali closed all of the beaches along the coast which became a tourist attraction. The beach area that not yet have a tourist destination status is also closed by the Badung Regency Government, such as Balangan Beach.
Because the attractiveness of the region makes tourists who are still in Bali, want to visit. So that this has the potential to create a crowd, even though the government has firmly appealed for social distancing in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Even though it has been closed, tourists still cannot be stopped.
The closed down of Balangan beach carried out after the existence of a letter from the Secretary of Badung numbered 566/1877 / Dispar / Secretariat, dated March 20, which included a temporary closure of the tourist attraction from the 21st March 31, 2020.
This was done to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in areas that were the center of the crowd. But the closure has not been able to stem the interest of tourists to visit, especially tourists who want to play surfing. We actually have closed access to Balangan beach, there are 2 accesses. The beach villa and traders have also been closed down. But in the field there are still finding stubborn caucasians and trying to enter the area by looking for loopholes.
